The ends overlap on top of the finger underneath the glue pad for a more comfortable fit. Nickel Free Imitation Rhodium Plated - Bright and VERY nice quality.

These are very sturdy and the quality is well worth the cost. And because of the way they adjust (on top of the finger instead of underneath) they are a much more comfortable fit and don't pinch.
